Abstract

The paper focuses on the analysis of the linguistic fundamentals of shaping public opinion based on the study of such strategies as agenda-setting for the discourse messages, priming effects employed to facilitate perception of the key information, and framing being one of the most powerful techniques used to shape the stable public images, beliefs, opinions, attitudes, stereotypes and view of the world.
