Abstract

The article sheds light on importance of teaching hedges in professional academic writing of students of historical faculty. The author suggests contents and effective methods of hedging skills development and interpretation of hedges with the aim of raising the level of intercultural pragmatic competence in the process of qualitative training of young scientists.
