Girls at preschool age have certainty in motives twice higher than boys but becoming primary school pupils, boys change from social motives to motives relating’ to the content of teaching learning process. It is proved that continuity in learning motivation plays an important role in formation and development of child throughout the study. It is very important for a teacher to understand the motives a child comes to school with and realize, which type of motivation can and must emerge before the end of primary school. Preschool age children are dominated by social motives that are related to child’s relationships with peers and parents. But the first group of reasons relating to the content of education has relatively high values. The desire to acquire new encourages children to study. Primary school children are dominated by motives related to the subject of studying and only a small percentage of motives are social reasons. Some children already talk about future desired profession. Boys choose teaching, design, military, professions law. Girls want to become singers, doctors, pharmacists. To organize an effective work on motivation development it is important to represent general trends of the pupils’ age in a particular class; to know the motives children come to school with and know, what motivation can and should emerge it before the end of primary school. Therefore, in our view, only a holistic approach can be the key to success in forming of learning motivation. To achieve this is possible only with organization of childs’ activities with considering his/her capabilities and goals.
