Abstract

The article suggests an original system of analysis of novel Tini zabutyh predkiv by M. M. Kotsiubynsky considering the polyphonism of culture and versatility of artistic thinking. M. M. Kotsiubynsky mastered with consummate skill not only a word but also a pencil and music always sounded in his soul. In this context intermediality correlations provide an opportunity to decode text on the other level of communication, to break into an artist’s creative laboratory and finally to understand a new frame of artistic vision and reality reproduction. The aim of this research is to define the theoretical subject matter of the term intermediality and to analyse colour and sound system of novel Tini zabutyh predkiv. The object of this research is mentioned above novel by M. M. Kotsiubynsky and the subject – intermediality occurences. The problem of relations between different kinds of art occurred long before the term intermediality but today it becomes actual within the framework of the new nomenclature and requisite for rethink and analysis of literary texts in accordance with the current realias.
