Abstract

The article analyzes the activities of the world federation of Ukrainian women's organizations, which was founded in 1948 at the World Congress of Ukrainian Women in Philadelphia. The article analyzes the activity of an all-Ukrainian public self-governing organization, the main purpose of which is to develop cooperation with Ukrainians abroad and to strengthen the relations of the diaspora with the Ukrainian state. The history of Ukrainian emigration is divided into four waves: the first one - from the last quarter of the 19th century. before the beginning of the First World War; the second is the period between the two world wars; the third - the period after the Second World War; the fourth since the declaration of Ukraine's independence in 1991.
