Abstract

In this article it is proved that formation of skills of 21st century, in particular, their key component — critical thinking, can be carried out by means of technological approach as the leading direction of the modern scientifi c knowledge. The analysis of actual practice, which testifi es of extremely low level of critical thinking formation of the majority of schools graduates, is submitted. It is found out that there is an urgent need, a public request for the pedagogical technologies aimed at the development of critical thinking of pupils. It is noted that geometrical construction tasks can serve as effi cient tools of qualitative thinking and other important skills of the 21st century. The algorithm of technology development of 21st century skills formation through geometrical construction tasks solution is selected. The algorithm consists of the following stages: defi nition of the purposes, tasks, methodological bases, principles of the technology; modeling of contents, forms, methods and means of 21st century skills formation; diagnostics of fi nal level of formation of the studied phenomenon. Realization of the specifi ed components is implemented gradually: objective stage (contains the purpose, methodological bases, the principles and diagnostics); procedural stage (introduction of contents, forms and methods, tutorials); monitoring stage (monitoring of the received results). The element of the developed technology, in the form of the facultative course «Geometrical Constructions» (hour amount — 30 hours) for the 8th grade, is approved during 2015–2016 at school No. 306 in Kyiv. Multicriteria assessment of critical thinking level is carried out by methods of the fuzzy-set theory and refl ected by means of terms of the linguistic variable «Critical Thinking».
