Abstract

The work program of the discipline "Methodology of Media Research: Global and Local Media" is the normative document of the Borys Grinchenko University of Kyiv, developed by the Department of Journalism and New Media on the basis of an educational and professional program for the preparation of masters in accordance with the curriculum for the specialty 061 "Journalism" (educational programs "Journalism", "Media Communications"), full-time and part-time study. The work curriculum is made in accordance with the requirements of the credit-module system of training organization. The program determines the amount of knowledge that the student must master in accordance with the requirements of educational and qualification characteristics, the algorithm for studying the material of the discipline "Methodology of Media Research: Global and Local Media", the necessary methodological support, components and technology for assessing academic achievement of students. The purpose of the course is to familiarize students with the peculiarities of the functioning of the media system of the world. Course Objective:  Facilitate students' understanding of the essence of the media system;  familiarize students with the varieties of media systems;  To deepen students' knowledge of the media system of the modern world.
