Abstract

The course is designed to form the theoretical basis of the Master's degree in Journalism and Media Communication, therefore the purpose of its study is to master students of the peculiarities of the formation of the state information policy and related issues of the protection of the information space of Ukraine as a factor of national security. The main task of the course is to form an idea about the needs and specifics of information policy and security, its structure, prepare the student for the conscious creation and protection of the Ukrainian information space. The objectives of the course are: - To acquaint students with the definition and classification of national security; - to define the notion of information security as one of the types of national security; - Consider the main types of information threats; - outline the main modifications of information flows (destruction of information, noise of channels by a large amount of side information, imposing information, disinformation, etc.); - to determine the role of the state as an object of ensuring information security; - analyze Ukraine's problems related to the protection of the Ukrainian national information market (processes of globalization and information expansion from Russia); - To acquaint students with the legislative and normative basis for ensuring information security.
