Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the specificity of the image of the defining features of Muslim woman’s stereotype in Ukrainian print media. On the basis of newspaper and magazine materials, the ways in which the role of women in Islamic society is presented by Europeans is shown. Detailed questions of the situation of women in the Muslim world, in particular its social place, presence in political life, regulation of family relations, restriction of the rights of a Muslim woman in relation to the rights of the man, are analyzed in detail. Particular attention is paid to attempts by journalists to change the stereotypical representation of Ukrainians about the role and place of Muslim women in society.
