Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of psychological support of the first-year students, who had been internally displaced from their native regions because of hostilities and military actions. There is presented a concept of complex psychological adaptation of first-year students to the university life. Generalization of the theories of the adaptability of adolescents and the concepts of their adaptation to the new conditions of life allowed finding some ways of this problem solving. The results of an empirical study of the individual-psychological qualities of first-year students are presented, the features of their social interaction and academic motivation are described. The article may be of interest to the practical-psychologists, counsellors, psychotherapists and educators.
