Abstract

The article examines the development trends of Ukrainian households as a component of economic security of the national economy. It is revealed that at the present stage of household management is an important component of the economic and financial system of the country. It is determined that the average size of households in Ukraine as a whole for the period 2014-2018 did not change significantly and amounted to 2.58 people per 1 household in 2018, and in the city of Kyiv 2.62 people per 1 household. The total resources per month per household in Ukraine as a whole increased 2.17 times over the period 2014-2018, in the city of Kyiv 2.28 times. The total monthly expenditures per household per household in Ukraine as a whole and in the city of Kyiv increased almost equally in 2014-2018: 2.05 times in Ukraine and 2.06 times in the city of Kyiv. The level of consumer total expenditures per household is high and in 2018 in Ukraine as a whole was 96.0%, in the city of Kyiv 95.0%. The average expenditure of households on food in Ukraine as a whole in 2018 was 47.7%, and in the city of Kyiv 44.8%. Expenditures of households on non-food goods and services for the studied period increased in Ukraine as a whole by 12.67%, and in the city of Kyiv by 8.41%. It is proved that in terms of the dollar equivalent for 2014-2018, the total resources per month per household increased by only 23.61% in Ukraine as a whole and 29.59% in the city of Kyiv. In general, in Ukraine, the average income per family member on average per month exceeded the subsistence level in 2014 by 30.26%, in 2015 it was less than the subsistence level by 10.51%, in 2016 - less by 8.49%, in 2017 - exceeded by 7.59%, in 2018 - exceeded by 17.65%. In the city of Kyiv, the average income per 1 family member on average per month exceeded the subsistence level in 2014 by 69.39%, in 2015 by 8.88%, in 2016 by 19.10%, in 2017 by 35.0%, in 2018 by 58.86%. The volume of lending to households in Ukraine for the study period 2014-2018 decreased by 4.79%. Over the same period, deposits of Ukrainian households increased by 26.81%. It has been proven that increasing the welfare of households and increasing incomes that are transferred to savings and that can be used as investments will help increase the level of economic security of the national economy as a whole.
