Abstract

This article analyzes the aesthetic nature of spiritual concert as a phenomenon which contains the main paradox of the institution. We are dealing with the phenomenon of secular culture, i.e. a public concert and all its common factors, on the one hand, and the liturgical repertoire of spiritual concert, retaining its Christian traditions throughout its existence, on the other hand. This is internal contradiction between liturgical repertoire and concert means of its performance that becomes the starting point in study of spiritual concert aesthetics and the main issue revealed and explored in this article.
