In the article the «movement» concept, that is the integral element of the musical science of different historical and artistic epochs, is considered. The group of bridging concepts, permitting to identify the type of movement and to outline its organizing principles, are educed. The suppositions for analytical approach to the study of musical creativity of former centuries and present time are established.
