Abstract

The article presents theoretical basis to determination of competencies of social pedagogue. Conceptual approaches to the determination of competencies which are prioritet in Ukraine are shown. The list and content characteristics of general and special competencies of specialist as the basics of his own professionalism are given on of this basis. Universal competencies are: knowledge of the state business language; knowledge of foreign language; the ability to analysis and synthesis, to effective communication, to production of new ideas, to leadership and teamwork; ability to use ICT technology. The basic professional competencies are complying ethical standards; using the regulatory framework in the social and educational activities; the ability to monitor and evaluate; possession of knowledge of the various institutions of social education in the local community; possession socio-pedagogical technologies with different target groups; the ability to form social activity of children and youth; ability to carry out educational work with different age groups; ability to provide inclusive; the ability to search the innovation in professional activity; the ability for professional self-regulation.
