Abstract
The problem of diagnosing talent of junior pupils and features of the use diagnostic techniques is considered. There is analyze of legislative documents of support and protection of gifted children and youth; psychological and pedagogical sources on the subject. Is exposed interpretation of the concepts of "talent" and "gifted children". It was found that a single and universally accepted definition of "talent" no till now. Established that a necessary condition in the diagnosis of children is the consideration of age signs of giftedness, as in the article the age groups of gifted preschool and school age. Presented a catalog of techniques for diagnosing talent of juniors, which includes the following methods: "Icon" (R. Luriy), "Figured form" (E. Torrance), Methods of studying children's creativity as personality traits of the child (R. Ovcharova), scale behavioral characteristics of gifted students (DG. Renzulli and co-author L. Popova) Method "talent map" (A. Savenkov) Methods of expert assessments to determine the gifted children (A. Losev) test questionnaire to identify the specific abilities of children ( 5 - 7 years) (A. de Haan, G. Kaf). With the proposed diagnostic techniques elementary school teacher will be able to determine the level of students in these types of giftedness: intellectual, creative, academic, artistic and expressive, musical, literary, artistic, technical, leadership, sports and more.
