Abstract
In the article the problem of formation of the professional competence of the future teacher of musical art is revealed. The notion of “competence” is revealed through abilities (T.Ermakov), professional competence is revealed through the ability to use received knowledge, ability, skills of music-pedagogical competence in a situation (L.Archaschnikova, O.Scholokova). The conclusion is made that the formated ability to the art-pedagogical interpretation to the musical work gives the ability to promote the knowledge. That`s why the author pays attention to the essence of the art-pedagogical interpretation of the musical work: different forms and types of art-pedagogical interpretation of the musical work are revealed and that the student practice at the individual lessons of the main musical instrument. The ways of the formation of the professional competence of the future teachers of art are formulated in the class of the main musical instrument and at the “pedagogical practicum” of the music listening.
