Abstract
Three myths about a «little» man created by N.V. Gogol are considered in the article. The Gogolian impostors (Kowaljow, Khlestakov) and the peculiarities of their being are investigated. It is paid attention to a certain system of dreams in the Gogolian myth about a dreamer («Nevsky Prospect»). The myth about a copyist in a short story «The Overcoat» can be considered both as an existence and one of the variants of «myth about the way» penetrated with the evangelic motives of the end times.
