Abstract
The article reveals the importance of ICT-environment creation in secondary educational institutions, and defines that the main innovative ICT are computer games, Web 2.0, which provides studying on the base of social interaction and network communicтехнологічнийation, and virtual learning environment, which creates the foundation for online educational courses. In the article we analyze the possibilities of computer games implementation in the educational process, examine their technological aspect and games software genres, show the positive and negative features of this phenomenon, and also give examples of the ways of using computer games in the schools of Great Britain.
