Abstract
In this article we have revealed the background of the discourse- analysis in linguistics, have presented the ideas of the anthropological linguistics in the USA and of the Czech strusturalism; we have analyses the contribution of such worldknown American scientists as Z. Harris, W. Labov,J. Grimes, R. Langaker, T. Givon, W. Chafe.
