Abstract
The most important task of modem schooling is to create motivations for maintaining and promoting human health. School should teach students to use reserve forces of body, to learn life skills of healthy and safe behavior, communication with people, to foresee the consequences of their behavior and to be able to make timely decisions and have the values and beliefs that contribute to conscious choice of healthy behavior and the intention to keep it. The article deals with the formation of life safety competences of primary school students. The acquisition of these competences will help children not only to understand the knowledge and skills for safe behavior at home, at school and in society, but also to learn how to apply them in practice under the guidance of a teacher. Attention is drawn to the use of interactive learning tools in the classroom during lessons of health basics.
