Abstract
The article deals with social and communicative aspect of the professional activity of journalism and information. The research highlight the necessity of invention of educational programs by higher education institutions and review the number and content of competence on a specific area of training future professionals (specially-professional) and general and professional competences in the area of knowledge are outlined. The article outlines the theoretical approaches to the solution to the problems in "Journalism and information" and the field of "Journalism", "Publishing and Editing", "Advertising and public relations." The author has developed a list of contents and general professional competence: informational, informative, legal, deontological, predictive, social, psychological, pedagogical, crosscultural, researching, communicative and technological, productive and engineering, multimedia, media criticism. Social and communicative competence is seen as integrational and provides the ability of professionals of journalism and information to identify, produce and broadcast the social meanings in specific social time-space for the purpose of personal socialization, consolidation of society.
