Abstract
The article studies foundation of Borys Grinchenko Threeyear Courses for Teachers, analysis M. Gryshchenko’s life and his activity — one of the first graduators of the courses, an outstanding teacher and public figure. Based on unknown archival documents, it examines M. Gryshchenko’s contribution into the history of pedagogy as well as national science.
