Abstract

The article deals with the creating appropriate and unimpeded education for children with autism. Teachers of educational institutions play the main role in this process. The author of this article discloses concept of "competence" of teachers on the implementation process of training, education and development of children with autism. The article describes the pedagogical experiment carried out in four educational institutions – two preschools and two secondary schools. The experiment was designed to ensure that teachers have mastered the technology of support for children with autism in the educational space and team interaction between members of IEP teams. The author demonstrates how the evaluation took place the pedagogical collective’s current state of readiness to implementing innovation and performance that has been achieved. To evaluate we have used the method "Tool for professional development of teachers" developed by the international community educators ISSA. We presented in table the ordered main indicators of quality of teachers in target areas: interaction, family, inclusion, assessment and planning, training methods, developmental environment, professional development. The article deals with the practical aspects of psycho-pedagogical support of autistic children in educational settings. The most important component of efficient support of child on the spectrum is well-coordinated work of multidisciplinary team which implements Individual Developmental Program and evaluates the success in achievement of actual objectives. We determined the environmental resources and resources of children with autism (basic structures: a tone, a sense of trust, sensory integration). Implementation of these resources allows organizing a quality education for autistic children. The most important component of efficient support of child on the spectrum is well-coordinated work of multidisciplinary team which implements Individual Developmental Program and evaluates the success in achievement of short-term objectives. The article described methods of the trainers, experts and supervisors with teachers to achieve their competence to work with children with ASD, success factors and challenges faced by the trainers of teachers. We note also prospects for further innovation work towards establishing continuity between preschool and school.
