Abstract
The article discusses the feasibility of the introduction of competence-based approach in the education system of future choreographers. It defines the components of choreographer’s professional competence. It examines the cotent of the concept of “competence” and “competency”. It presents the criteria of structural components of choreographer’s professional competence.
