Abstract

The object of research is the social communication as a professional activity. The aim of which, in our opinion, have to be objectification and actualization the constants of sense-production in their ethno-regional and socio-cultural dimensions. Journalism as a contemporary social institution is to promote a model of democratic culture, to do everything possible to make diversity is a source of mutual enrichment, to promote the intercultural dialogue, the movement of social sense in contemporary multicultural global social space. It provides the intercultural dialogue as one of the main tasks of the media sphere requires the application of legal regulations and observation of human rights. The article deals with an attempt to delineate the sense as the base notion of social communication. It defines culture as a repository of social meanings according to the provisions of scientific theories, including social constructivism, ethogenetical psychology, interpretative paradigm and others. Substantiate the consideration of cross-cultural competence as professional for specialists of media sphere. The conclusions that journalists in their professional activities not only use semiosphere of particular culture, but also create a semiosphere of mass culture ar scientifically justified. The results of scientific reflection have allowed to include such subjects as «World Culture» and «Intercultural Communication» in journalists training curricula, to complement the content of the courses of study «Social Philosophy», «Psychology and sociology of mass communication», «Information and Communication Theory», «Media law», «Media politics», «Communicative technology».
