Abstract
The article discloses typical traits of classical, non-classical and posy non-classical types of scientific rationality in art pedagogy and outlines value pr iorities in development of modern art education. It is educated that, according to a non-classical approach, art education is not merely a goal-oriented, but also a value-oriented process that molds a personality's knowledge, its mode of activity, creative experience and cultural self-definition. The author concludes that at present post non-classical compregention of art pedagogy enters the stage of stabilization, being currentlyfeatured with a partnerly equality of the global and the local. To stabilize this processes, consistent axiological foundations are necessary, developing them seen as the ascent to a new type of scientific rationality in art education.
