Abstract
The article deals with problem how to form the artistic taste of pupils who are studying at the primary school by using the national vocal music heritage, particularly the works of Ukrainian composers at the turn of twentieth century. The paper is covered the essence of definition “the artistic taste of primary school pupil” and presented the pedagogical methods for developing this phenomena of children at the music lessons by studying the music pieces of high artistic merit. Author prepares and describes some special methods which include refined demonstration of vocal music pieces, artistic analogy of vocal music with fine arts works, using collages as a type of visualization of the Ukrainian composers’ vocal music, motivating pupils to attentive perception of music pieces, creative assignments for musical improvisation etc. This methods are offered and might be useful for the teachers and students in their further pedagogical activities in music classes.
