Abstract
The article deals with an experience in the activities of the Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University monitoring of research effectiveness. The specified monitoring is considered as the most important resort of enhancing scientific research and ensuring the quality of university training of future bachelors and masters. The basic principles of construction the rating of the scientific work of the university (the ranking is to be subjected to departments and teachers working in groups of related scientific fields; the official annual statistical reports of the departments are the basic information; the final rating is formed as the total evaluation of different scientific achievements). The main components of the monitoring research have been outlined. The implementation of the monitoring system of the quality of scientific research through the use of electronic portfolios containing information about the most important teachers’ aspects have been represented. This is scientific work, professional development, training activities and personal data.
