Abstract

The investigation of the dissertation is devoted to the problem of the development of leader’s potential of active students in university community. The theoretical and methodological analyses of the problem of leadership are done in this work; the being of leader’s potential of personality based on generalization and systematization of modern scientific approaches is demonstrated. The conception «personality potential» is shown as his or her possibilities that can be realized if there are definite resources and conditions; «leader» – as socially active and highly-trusted personality in group who influences on the lifestyle of the group, has group values, is able to take responsibility for the group and is ready to solve common tasks; «leadership» as a group value that is guaranty of personal development of leader and his or her followers during their interaction in order to reach the common aim. Leader’s potential of personality is viewed as a system of his or her resources and possibilities realization of which can help to treat person by the group as a leader. Contents, axiological and operating components and their inner and outer structure are definitely separated in this work. 20 University community is viewed as a community of subjects on interaction of which effective studying , upbringing and professional evaluation of student depends. There is the structure of university community based on subjective approach and active students are viewed as a kind of self-organization in it. It is found that active students are the subject of the transformation of the university community that demonstrates the values and wishes of students and social important tasks are realized through their activity. Aims, tasks, functions and principles of the work of active studentsare described and a functional structure of the work of active students in the university community is developed. The development of the leader’s potential of active students is determined as a purposeful, systematic, organized activity in the university community that contributes to the qualitative and quantitative changes in all criteria and indicators of leader’s potential of active students. Cognitive, motivational, valuable, active and reflective criteria, indicators, reactive, active, proactive levels of leader’s potential of active students in the university community are demonstrated. The analysis of the development of the leader’s potential of active students in the university community is done. Social-pedagogical conditions of the development of leader’s potential of active students in the university community are demonstrated: the practice to valueleadership in the university community (development servant leadership as part of the corporate culture of the university; implementation of various forms of servant leadership of the university environment; partnership cooperation between administration, teachers and students;); introduction of the complex programme of the development of leader’s potential of active students (the development and implementation of forms of social and educational work of the leadership different groups of active student; individual work, the leadership for active students), encouraging of active students to different kinds of socially useful activity (promotion of socially useful activities in the university environment based on lservant leadership; the introduction of various forms of motivating students; support student community service initiatives; students implementation of social projects; establishing of partnership with students of other universities and members of various social institutions.). Content and methodical providing of the development of leader’s potential of active students in the university community is developed as a set of activities, forms and methods of the development of leader’s potential, focused, systematic and organized implementation of which contributes to realization of the social-pedagogical conditions of the development of leader’s potential of active students. Approbation of content and methodical providing of the development of the leader’s potential of active students in the university community is occurred through a variety of methods and organizational forms of work with activestudents and subjects of social-educational work of the University. The effectiveness of the implemented social-pedagogical conditions is confirmed by the results of the control phase of the experiment.
