Abstract
Language contacts issue remains among operative research trends of the modern comparative-historical linguistics. Primarily the Latin and Ancient Greek languages’ (languages that played a key role in the world civilization expansion) contacts matter especially. Latin and Romance languages verbs with the Greek origin and a meaning of speaking are the object of the article analysis. The research aims to check semantic structure of those verbs for preservation of universal evolution schemes typical for the original Lain lexicon. Despite the status of lexemes with the Greek origin (both morphologic and semantic loans) the analyzed verbs show correspondence of their semantic evolution vector with the way of the Latin verbs forming
