Abstract
Publication for those who show interest in the topic of popular time measurements, in the center of which a bird such as a rooster is a very common and multifaceted symbol of the sun, light, fire, militancy, vigilance, economy. With the purpose of a variety of work with preschoolers, it is suggested to refer to fairy tales and legends, riddles and verses, tasks and exercises, sayings, whose hero is the cockerel who performs the hour function in the people's measurement.
