Abstract
The article studies the problem of self-actualization of the personality as a complex mental activity requiring well-defined goal-setting, significant volitional efforts, directed proactivity, significant psychological and energy efforts. Self-actualization of students is considered to be one of the most important stages in the formation of personality, since it is associated not only with obtaining extensive knowledge, but also considered to be the key factor in obtaining professional qualification. Self-actualization of the personality of students in the process of studying at the university is conditioned by the presence of typical traits of the self-actualizing personality, identified by A. Maslow: "Efficient perception of reality", "Accepting oneself, others and nature", "Spontaneity, simplicity and naturalness", "Centrality on the problem", "Autonomy, independence from culture and environment", "Freshness of perception", "Public interest. Deep interpersonal relations"," Differentiation of means and purposes". A qualitative and quantitative analysis of the traits of the self-actualizing personality of students is being carried out. The following characteristics are the most expressed: "Acceptance of oneself, others and nature"; "Spontaneity, simplicity and naturalness"; "Public interest. Deep interpersonal relations"; " Centrality on the problem". The following traits of the self-actualizing personality of students are considered to be insufficiently expressed according to A. Maslow: "Autonomy, independence from culture and environment"; "Freshness of perception"; "Differentiation of means and purposes."
