Abstract
In terms of progressive social transformations have changed requirements for the professional personality. In particular, to ensure professional achievements it is necessary to : be ready to make independent, fast, effective decisions; ability to analyze alternatives; the implementation of influence, etc. There is an urgent need to improve the overall content of professional competence. One of the most effective ways is the implementation of leadership principles in the structure of professional competence. The traditional view of scientists (teachers and psychologists) on the structure of professional competence involves the incorporation of certain components: motivational, cognitive, behavioral, emotionally-regulatory and others. J. Raven has developed a model of professional competence, originality which is associated with the recognition of the heterogeneity of the key factors and the cumulative nature of its main components. The author first emphasizes the ability of a competent individual to achieve significant goals and be largely independent of the social environment. So, it´s about leadership potential – socially-psychological properties of personality, which reflects the ability of the individual , regardless of the situation successfully implement leadership in professional activities.
