Abstract
The article determined the role of methodical work and methodologist of Institute of postgraduate pedagogical education in the system of lifelong professional development of pedagogical personnel. It concretized the notion "methodical work" as native definition, which united methodical, teaching-methodical, organizational-methodical, scientific-methodical, informational-methodical and other work and it became a component of system of perfection of qualification of pedagogical personnel. It grounded the necessity of competence development of methodologists of institutes of postgraduate pedagogical education as key figures in the process of perfection of system of postgraduate pedagogical education
