Abstract
The article deals with the object, subject, task of social pedagogy as a field of pedagogical science in the contenxt of the current paradigm of social education. The subjects of dissertation with the code 13.00.05, content of "Social pedagogy", textbooks and manuals of Ukrainian authors are analyzed.
