Abstract
The monograph covers the results of theoretical and experimental analysis of the problem of raising mercy in pupils of junior school age in extra-curricular activities of boarding schools. The analysis of philosophical, sociological, psychological, and pedagogical literature on the issues of education of charity is made, the essence and structure of the concepts of "mercy", "education of mercy among pupils of junior school age of boarding schools" is specified. The specifics of education of mercy in pupils of elementary school age in the extra-curricular activities of boarding schools are determined. Criteria, indicators and criteria for raising mercy have been developed. The pedagogical conditions for the education of mercy in pupils of junior school age in the extra-curricular activities of boarding schools have been theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested. The monograph is aimed at students of pedagogical specialties, teachers of elementary school, pedagogical workers of boarding schools, social educators, scientists, post-graduate students.
