Abstract
It was established that the performances of cultural and art collectives in Josef played an important role in raising the morale of the interned, satisfying their nostalgic feelings for their own home and native land. However, for the camp, actors and singers were given the opportunity for self-realization and development of their artistic abilities. It was also important that all without exception theatrical concert amateur activities were national in content and spirit and contributed to the spiritual consolidation of Ukrainian warfare. In the repertoire of the camp theater dominated Ukrainian household and historical plays, because they are more in line with the interest of the interned. These included, in particular, «Zaporozhets the Danube» by S.Gulak-Artemovsky and «Marusya Boguslavka» by M.Starytsky, for the production of which the theater section of the Cultural and educational circle had a rich stage requiem and variables (for several acts) scenery. Before the preparation of the plays, women (wives of some of the camps) and their children actively participated in the performances, which allowed the features of nature to be reproduced in the plays. It should also be noted that for several years spent in the camp, camp artists have reached a fairly high level of skill. The artistic component of the camp life was duly represented at the exhibition, which was deployed in the camp. Thanks to her creative achievements of amateur theater circles became known to the general public of the city of Josefov and the district. The significance of the camp theater also consisted in the fact that thanks to the Ukrainian song, music, dramatic art among Czech society, a positive vision of Ukraine as a part of the European political and national-cultural space was fixed. The most important thing in this process was that interned people were looking for and finding their own original expression for their artistic quest, thus making its contribution to the treasury of Ukrainian and European culture.
