Abstract

The article analyses general theoretical basis of syntactic links qualification in modern linguistics; main differential features of weak syntactic link and principles of their accentuation are defined. Character of syntactic dependency — bilateral dependency (predicative link), unilateral dependency (subject link) and absence of dependency that is independency (coordinative link) — were taken as differentiating characteristics, which differentiates types of syntactic links. Basic syntactic link is predicative link, which forms predicative center of sentence by uniting its main parts. Subject link takes subordinate sentence members or subjective part of complex sentence away. Depending on the structure of prop syntactic unit, adverbial subject link and determinant subject link are distinguished. Coordinative link unites equal coordinative parts of compound sentence or homogenous parts in a simple sentence. Violation, refusal from natural links, correlation, collocation of statement parts leads to the process of change, easing and even split of links, to wide use of the structures which are not grammatically linked. This situation raises the issue of the typology of syntactic links in modern Ukrainian language. Change of natural links, correlations, proportions occur in the language syntax when the process of easing and split of links, violation of natural conjunction of grammatical and intonation borders, that is a clear tendency to syntactic segmentation, is on. Weak links are links of another kind, rather than coordinating and subjecting. In this case, a plane of content is dominating over a plane of expression. These links are covert or weakly marked, are characterized by small predictability of one component by another. Weak syntactic link is a non-marked (covert) or weakly marked linked, expressed by the words of hybrid type — by lexical or deictic means; this is an unpredictable link, regressive / progressive, which is characterized by non-predictability of one component by another.
