Abstract
The article studies the peculiarities of Z. Hayday’s singing and performance activity during World War II (1941-1945): its contents, professional approaches to creative intents implementation in the war realities, artistic meaning in terms of the contemporary ideas of the singer’s professional mastery. The analysis of the singer’s achievements enabled us to reveal the nature of her creative activity during tour routes within the USSR and abroad, as well as on the opera stage, the methods of generating and bringing artistic ideas into life, the professional level and taste, as well as the components of Z. Hayday’s success among the public. The results obtained will facilitate formation of a comprehensive idea of the meaning of Z. Hayday’s singing and performance achievements during the war in her creative biography as well as in the domestic culture overall
