Abstract
The monograph is devoted to the problem of the formation of the patriotic consciousness of students. It consists of two parts - scientific, methodological and practical. The first highlights the historical and philosophical aspects of the formation and development of the concept of "patriotism" of its permanent transformations in conditions of the dynamic development of society. The authors take into account different views and tendencies in the meaningful role of patriotism, patriotic education of children and youth. The second part of the monograph has the character of practical developments and methodological recommendations for teachers.
