Abstract
The course "Media Problem" is intended to form the theoretical basis of the bachelor of journalism, therefore, the purpose of its study is a clear awareness of the students about the specifics, problems and peculiarities of the media space of Ukraine and foreign countries, and critical thinking of the information content that they produce. The course introduces the political, economic, social, medical, cultural and religious issues in the media, features of its display in the media of foreign countries, as well as leading national and regional Ukrainian mass media. The main task of the course is to form a clear idea of the diversity of issues of inaccurate content, the degree of development of each issue, the conditionality of this internal logic of social communications. The objectives of the course are: • Integration and systematization of interdisciplinary knowledge and skills of students in critical processing of information; • systematic study of media issues and peculiarities of the development of modern media space in general; • Identification of trends in the presentation of political, economic and social issues in the media of foreign countries; • Identification of trends in the presentation of political, economic, social and other issues in the Ukrainian media; • mastering the initial practical skills of analyst and media criticism.
