Abstract
The purpose of this article is to reconstruct the peculiarities of the assistance and charitable activity of the Union of Ukrainian Women in the camp of Szczypіornо in 1922. Thanks to the Union's efforts and contributions from donors, it has become possible to ease the situation of the most vulnerable groups of tributaries, and in particular - children who were provided with at least a minimum acceptable nutrition for their age, as well as their full-time care at the camp nursery school. All this became possible thanks to the support of charitable organizations, who did not spare the funds for charity, actually making it possible for «survival» in a camp for women and children.
