Abstract
The aim and purposes of the monograth are to reconstruct the facts from life and works of World literature classic – Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy (Makhtumkuli Fragi) – against the background of difficult and bloody events in history of Turkmenistan of XVIII century, in connection with cultural traditions of Turkmen and challenges of the epoch. The polemic data about his origin, years of life, private (family) and public relationships are analyzed. The monograth proposes a wide characteristic of Turkmen history, economics of XVIII century, way of life, moral principles of being, development of culture; their influence on Magtymguly works is defined.
