Abstract
The monograph refers to the actual problems of studying Ukrainian journalism and journalism in the 1920s - beginning 1930s. The author of the monograph examines previously unknown or little-known scientific and popular scientific publications of this period, which analyzes the state and development of the western and eastern press, as well as the first steps of domestic radio journalism.On the basis of this analysis, the state of freedom of speech and printing in Ukraine and abroad in the interwar twentieth anniversary, methods, forms, receptions, means, genres, etc., have been reconstructed, are productive in the national mass media of that time. The emphasis is on the formation of the basic principles of professional activity, for example, the achievements and losses of journalism of the 1920s - the beginnings. 1930s compared with modern theoretical and practical developments.
