Abstract
The monograph "Formation of patriotic and civic consciousness of students: theory and practice" (edited by F. L. Levitas) is dedicated to the topical problems of the new Ukrainian school. It consists of two parts – scientific (methodological) and practical. The team of authors introduce to the readers the practice of forming social and civic competences of students. The authors take into account diverse views and trends in understanding the role of patriotism and patriotic education of children and youth.
