Abstract
In modern economic conditions, the functioning of domestic enterprises is accompanied by the influence of destructive factors of the internal and external business environment. At this rate the issues of ensuring the economic security of the enterprise are actualized, and the achievement of the appropriate level will allow creating favorable conditions for its stable functioning in conditions of uncertainty. The methodological basis of the research is the scientific development of domestic and foreign scientists, the fundamental theoretical positions of economic science in the field of economic security. The purpose of the article is to study the essence of the enterprise's economic security on the basis of systematization of threats on various classification grounds and to determine the characteristics of its achievement for further scientific developments in this direction. The article examines the essence of economic security of the enterprise at the global, international, national, regional and local levels. Given the complementary nature of the relationship between levels of economic security at macro-, meso- and micro-levels, it is proved that the guarantee of achieving economic security at higher levels of the hierarchy is to provide it at the enterprise level. The essence of economic security of the enterprise was found out, which is to provide conditions for its effective functioning and strategic development under the conditions of the influence of threats of a diverse nature. Based on analysis and systematization of existing authors' approaches, the classification of threats to the economic security of the enterprise was developed based on the place of origin, the nature of the impact, the degree of control, the source and sphere of occurrence, the functional components of the economic security of the enterprise. There are determined the characteristic features of ensuring the economic security of the enterprise, which include its economic equilibrium, competitiveness, economic freedom, economic development and harmonious interaction with the external environment.
