Abstract
The monograph defines the role of the community as social factor in social development and the development of children and students, clarifies the nature of social and educational work. The conceptual framework of this work with children and youth in the local community is characterized. From the perspective of service approach socio-pedagogical work of institutions and organizations of social infrastructure for children and youth is described, the content and social services that they provided are defined. The experience of social and educational work with children and youth in individual communities is given. For researchers and students of pedagogical universities, social workers, professionals working in the field of social and educational work with children and youth.
