Abstract
The article covers the stages of implementation of the idea of higher female education in Finland. The main attention is paid to the activities of the Finnish scientific and educational community aimed to allow women studying at Helsingfors University. It has been proven that only the professorial corporation and community of Finland were more consistent in providing women with opportunities to obtain university education together with students.
