Abstract
The purpose of the study is to assess the state of the spiritual health of people at the sanatorium-resort stage of rehabilitation suffering from chronic diseases and to establish its connection with the medical characteristics of somatic health. Materials and methods. 148 patients suffering from chronic diseases and received treatment for a climatic resort. The biological, social and general medical characteristics, as well as the state of spiritual health of the subjects examined by means of a special questionnaire were studied. Results At a resort in 61.5% of patients suffering from chronic diseases, a poor condition (low and middle level) of spiritual health was revealed. The state of the spirituality of chronically sick people depends to a certain extent on the state of their physical health, as indicated by the presence of associations (associations) of answers to a number of questionnaires that describe spiritual health, with medical findings and characteristics. Answers to 13 questions of the proposed questionnaire are 29 times related to the 14th studied medical characteristics of patients. Answers to the questionnaire were most often associated with the presence of the examined diseases of the nervous system (6 dependencies), the frequency of exacerbations of the underlying disease (5 dependencies), the number of affected organs (3 dependencies), the presence of oncological diseases (3 dependencies), the severity of the patient's condition (3 dependencies ), the duration of the underlying disease (2 dependencies) and the presence of metabolic disorders (2 dependencies).
