Abstract
In the article the dynamics of the number of enterprises of the city of Kyiv for the period of 2013-2017 is considered. The conclusion is made on the increase of the number of enterprises, the number of which relates to the following types of activity: agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 13.33%; health care - 9.86%; real estate transactions - 8.85%; service activities - 8,08%; transport - 3.75%. The dynamics of the number of enterprises of other types of activity tended to decrease, namely: construction - 14.02%; financial activity - 6.73%; professional, scientific and technical activity - 8,64%; other types of services - 5.80%; education - 2,41%; wholesale and retail trade - 0.8%; information and telecommunications - 0,11%. The growth rate of the number of enterprises in the city of Kiev for the study period slowed down and the largest share of enterprises occupy the following types of economic activity: wholesale and retail trade (31.29%); professional, scientific and technical activities (14,09%); real estate transactions (9.68%); construction (9.01%); industry (8.99%). Negative dynamics of decrease in production volumes for the research period of 2013-2017 was observed at the enterprises of the following types of economic activity: food products, beverages and tobacco products production by 2,4%, metallurgical production - by 6,3%, machine building - by 20, 4%, manufacture of wood products, paper production and printing - by 20.9%. It continues to adversely affect the development of the industrial complex in the growth of the cost of raw materials, electricity and gas, and a high level of wear and tear of productive assets. In the structure of small and medium business in Kiev, the largest share is occupied by natural persons-entrepreneurs - 80.6%, microenterprises 13.8%, small enterprises - 4.9%, and medium enterprises - 0.7%. By the end of 2017, the number of small and medium enterprises for 10 thousand people of the existing population of Kyiv amounted to 1627 units, which is almost 8.2% more than in the previous year.
